The second annual Goddard School Benefit Tournament will take place at Ferncroft CC on Monday, June 17th, 2019.

In honor of Father’s Day and in support of men’s health, The Goddard School of Middleton hosts this year's event in conjunction with the Massachusetts Prostate Cancer Coalition (MPCC) and the Boston Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc.  100% of the net proceeds will be shared between MPCC and the Senator Edward W. Brooke Scholarship Fund.

Play begins at 7:30am with a shotgun start.  The cost includes 18 holes, cart and range use, along with prizes, a continental breakfast and luncheon buffet.  There will also be an opportunity to purchase a contest package.

The MPCC educates, connects, and supports men at risk, newly diagnosed individuals, survivors, and their families.  It also connects organizations and professionals in Massachusetts that seek to conquer and cure prostate cancer.

In 1966, Senator Brooke, a cancer survivor himself and member of the Boston Chapter of Alpla Phi Alpha, became the first African American popularly elected to the United States Senate. He represented Massachusetts in the Senate from 1967 to 1979. He co-wrote the Civil Rights Act of 1968, which prohibits housing discrimination. In 2000 the Edward W. Brooke Courthouse in Boston was dedicated in his honor. And in 2004, President George W. Bush awarded Brooke the Presidential Medal of Freedom.

The online store is now open for this event--sign up to play, sponsor, or donate by clicking here. You may also contact Mark Hunter with any questions.
