Ferncroft CC is proud to have been the home court for the Boston Lobsters, a part of World TeamTennis. The 2012 season brought John Inser and Robby Ginepri to play at Ferncroft CC. The Club also hosted marquee players Lindsay Davenport and Martina Hingis.
In 2011, the Lobsters were headed by John Inser and James Blake and hosted marquee players Melanie Oudin and Mark Philippoussis at Ferncroft CC.
The 2010 season saw the Lobsters again make the World TeamTennis playoffs. Headed by James Blake and the man who won the longest tennis game in history, John Isner, the Boston Lobsters hosted Anna Kournikova and Martina Hingis.
Martina Navratilova again headed up the Lobsters in 2009 and Ferncroft CC was host to Australian Open Champion Serena Williams.
In 2008, the Boston Lobsters were headed by Martina Navratilova and made the World TeamTennis playoffs. Seven matches were played at Ferncroft CC, including one that hosted Wimbledon Champion Venus Williams.
